This is the story of an 11-year-old working-class boy in a Northern English mining town during the miners' strike, Billy discovers an unexpected passion for ballet, challenging family tradition and societal expectations as he strives to pursue his dream of becoming a dancer, a journey balanced with the community's struggle against industry decline and his own coming-of-age
