'Pride & Prejudice' has today been nominated for two Golden Globes at the 63rd Annual Golden Globe Award nominations in Los Angeles. The nominations are for Best Picture (Musical or Comedy) and Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) which went to leading-lady Keira Knightley for her role as 'Elizabeth Bennet'. This is Keira Knightley's first Golden Globe nomination and follows a string of rave reviews for her portrayal of the feisty 'Lizzie.'
Also nominated in the Best Picture (Musical of Comedy) category are 'Mrs. Henderson Presents', 'The Producers', 'The Squid And The Whale' and 'Walk The Line'. In the Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) category, Keira is nominated against one of her 'Pride & Prejudice' co-stars, Dame Judi Dench (Mrs. Henderson Presents) as well as Laura Linney (The Squid And The Whale), Sarah Jessica Parker (The Family Stone) and Reese Witherspoon (Walk The Line.)
The 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place on Monday, January 16th, 2006. Further information is available on the Golden Globes website.
