The oldest film festival in the world kicked off last night on the island of Lido in Venice, Italy. Filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen were joined by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton to celebrate the world premiere of their new film Burn After Reading. The spy-comedy, which also stars John Malkovich, is the brothers' first film since the critical success of No Country For Old Men. It is also one of five American films at this year's festival, which runs until September 6th.
Burn After Reading will be released in cinemas in the US on September 12th and in the UK on October 17th.
