FILMING BEGINS ON 'THE GOLDEN AGE'

Production has now begun on 'The Golden Age', a follow-up to the 1998 film 'Elizabeth', starring Academy Award winning Cate Blanchett who reprises her role as Elizabeth I. Shekhar Kapur again directs and Geoffrey Rush once again plays Sir Francis Walsingham, joined this time by Clive Owen (Closer, Inside Man), Abbie Cornish (Somersault), Samantha Morton (Minority Report, The Libertine), Jordi Molla (Bad Boys II) and Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill, Vanity Fair).

'The Golden Age' is being filmed at Shepperton Studios and on location around the UK. Locations include Westminster Cathedral, Ely Cathedral, Winchester Cathedral and St. John's College Cambridge.
